Moral injury is only the beginning of the conversation regarding medical staff’s gaslit existence within the framework of their Hippocratic oath.

It comes as no surprise that compromising values to maintain a practice takes a toll on many.

I wrote an article on it last year. With your permission I’ve linked it here.

Moral injury is a choice people make. They don’t have to be immoral but they decide to anyway because they don’t want to give up their job. Historians have said that Hitler would never been able to do what he did without the help of immoral drs and psychiatrists and it’s no different than what is happening in NZ. There were many drs who chose not to take part in the immorality like those in groups like nzdsos and many nurses also refused to be immoral. So it’s a choice to be immoral and take part in immoral acts. Their is no excuse.

Any psychiatrist saying that medical staff need to be more resilient in order to carry our immoral acts should not be listened to. They are nuts basically. What we need is justice for these immoral acts as no one had a gun held to their head when they chose to be immoral for the money, their weekly pay check.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

And that’s exactly what’s happened. We’ve even had drs commit suicide in New Zealand in the very recent past according to NZDSOS(New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out with Science)

Clinical Pathways, Guidelines, Standards, MDTs and an intolerance for practicing outside the Establishment narratives have all eroded individual decision making based on expertise and experience. Very hard now for health professionals to act on conscience (assuming they have one ...)

Yes, drs have no academic freedom whatsoever in NZ. I presume it’s similar in other western countries

Most are hypnotized. Many are so narcissistic that they have nothing in their minds but making money. Dentists started with fewer ideals than docs. See https://dl.bookfunnel.com/5ercuvl94y for a free download

It has been proven to me time and time again that there is a desperate need for a “hitchhikers guide to the health system” type thing. One that warns you about things, and guides you on how to get through the health system in one piece without suffering harm or death. Where there is a need, the market will provide a solution.
