I was hoping to see more about bullying / gaslighting / strong arming in the study - but all I saw was burnout - and your postulate that bullying leads to burnout.

Maybe I didn't read the study thoroughly enough, and it's kind of you to publish it here - but I'd love to hear more about the bullying side of this. The gaslighting side of this.

Personal experience with an endocrinologist. First thing he measures my waist. He tells me there is no such thing as an essential "carb" - he rides me for my BMI, and doesn't even hear what I'm looking for.

Now I know that metabolic dysfunction is a problem! I know my waist is too big! BUT - did he need to pick on me like that? Isn't there a better way to communicate other than with a hammer?

I'm tired of being a nail.

I didn’t write the research. As you can see it’s about bullying amongst specialists not against patients. I can’t ever see any medical researcher doing one about bullying by drs against patients, although I’ve got a few audio recordings of it. I’d like to see a study like that too but I can’t see it happening. I’d love to see more about the gaslighting side too. Eventually I’ll transcribe the recordings I have of it happening to me eventually, but I just have to wait awhile first and then it will take sometime as the quality of the recordings is not good at all.

A lot of people who get metabolic dysfunction find that going on a diet of only beef and lamb and fat sorts it out. The fat is very important. But I see that as a last resort. It’s what I have to do. I do know that things like orthopaedic implants, root canals, and dental fillings can cause metabolic dysfunction in some people.

I hope things go better for you than they have in the past. I know how horrible and frustrating it is

Thanks Dr. Mark I guess my comment was - because - I don't read studies as well as I used to. I glazed over and couldn't really distil what they were saying (I knew it wasn't your study). My shortfall, I'm sure - but would greatly appreciate in future if you could "translate" the medicaleze for us laypeople, rather than just reprint the article. John Campbell's style is helpful for people like me who can't necessarily parse the language to see what they are really saying.

I do appreciate that you thought we were smart enough to "get it." But I'm not.

I've been working on the belly for 15 years now - my metabolism has been ruined by psychiatry & their drugs (I'm a graduate & moderator at Surviving Antidepressants).

Being married, there are some adjustments I can make to diet, but there is always a discussion & compromise about dietary changes. I'd love to do a long fast - but he keeps filling the fridge with food (compulsively? a fast would be great for him, too, but he's unmotivated). For now, IF & low carb are my main strategies.

Sorry about that JC, it was the first time I’ve posted a study. Your comments are very helpful. What can help a lot with health is replacing all dental fillings( even moder composites) with metal free ceramic fillings like the Saremco brand. It can make big improvements in all round health. Getting rid of root canals is also a necessity. You may be an inefficient detoxer like me, in which case, foreign objects in the body use up too many immune resources. I am not a Dr though, I’m a patient with 40 years experience having lots of adverse events to implants and vaccines and dental work and bone cement. It’s taken up most of my life from the age of 14. But because of it, I’ve probably seen 100+ drs and was even warned of the corruption, so I spent a lot of time studying what was going on and how the system works here. Because I’ve had so many adverse events and great specialists overseas, I’ve learnt a lot, so I’ve helped many on their first time round with implant allergy, to answer their questions that their drs can’t, and to tell them the best path to take to confirm systemic metal hypersensitivity and get something done about it. Also how to avoid their drs hiding important documents

OH! so you're like me, a Citizen Scientist. I help people get off psych drugs. You help people with metals.

I've wanted to learn more - the only doc here (Brisbane) who might have a clue has disappeared again (he goes international every so often, and gets frustrated at provincial medicine in Australia)...I don't have any insights into dentists. I might have metal in my mouth (I really don't know!). I do have metal in my knee replacement.

Currently my attitude towards dentists (because of the knee replacement) is to avoid them and their invasive "cleanings," because I need to take antibiotics every time I do. So I'm studying Dr. Ellie Phillips and her mouth biome system. I'm not perfect - but it's better than what I was doing before while submitting to the cleanings to keep from getting worse. (that said, when I was a poor American, I couldn't afford dentistry, and didn't do too poorly without it).

I'm curious then, as to - how you survive without the implants. They cannot remove my knee unless I want to be a cripple. I don't want to be a cripple, I'm a tai chi instructor, and need that knee. I was crippled for 20 years before I finally submitted to replacement.

Interesting your views on titanium, which we've been told is "bio-friendly" blah blah.

I'll keep reading and try to learn more! Where do I begin? I've asked my "holistic" yoga doc about metals, and her eyes glaze over.

Thanks for all that you do!

LOL My teeth are pretty good. I have maybe 2-3 fillings?

But here's WHY my teeth were good. I grew up in Cincinnati, OH. At the time, University of Cincinnati was running a fluoride test thing on children. I took some kind of awful multivitamin with fluoride every day.

So they farked my brain to give me good teeth.

Unfortunately the knee can’t be removed. I was lucky as mine were lumbar spinal implants which can be removed once the fusion has fused.

For people with knees and hips, they have to focus on what else they can do. People get tested for a hypersensitivity to titanium everyday. Nothing is completely biocompatible unless the body recognised it as ‘self’ which it doesn’t. Titanium is an antigen so it’s impossible to be 100% biocompatible. It will also be a titanium alloy, so will be mixed with aluminium and vanadium. The alloy is called Ti6AL4V.

So for people like you it’s best to focus on whether you’re also having a galvanic reaction, and whether you have metals or metal salts in any dental work. It doesn’t matter what we remove or replace with something more biocompatible, it will lead to improvement as it frees up immune resources. If you have silver amalgam fillings then they will be having a galvanic reaction with your knee. That speeds up the degradation of your fillings and they release more mercury much faster. They must be removed to stop the breakdown of them otherwise you’ll get mercury toxicity if you have them. If you have more modern white composite fillings, they have lots of metal salts in them and if you’re hypersensitive to metals, you’re also hypersensitive to metal salts and every other chemical in your environment.

When I got my composite fillings removed, it was to lower the amount of alumina I was exposed to as some bone cement was put in my back during a 2019 surgery which had alumina in it and put me over my alumina/aluminium limit. It caused lots of symptoms including metal intoxication from the neurotoxic alumina as I’m hypersensitive to aluminium/alumina when exposed to too much. Those fillings hadnt been a problem until the bone cement was put in. Mental illness is just the allopathic term for a neurotoxic event. Metal intoxication is what it actually is. Replacing my white composite fillings with metal free ceramics like saremco brand, stopped the metal intoxication and cardiac symptoms. The metal intoxication was like adhd and dementia. The adhd like symptoms disappeared immediately. The dementia like symptoms took 6 months and I had to drink silica water for 36 days to get rid of leftover alumina in my blood. It also returned my pulse to normal and my blood pressure. I would recommend silica water for you anyway as it is the only thing that removes neurotoxic aluminium from the body and it comes out in your urine. You can make your own too, instead of buying it.

If there is any other foreign objects in you like a root canal it needs removal.

With knees and hips, as they can’t be replaced, we work on other foreign objects in the body and mouth to mitigate the symptoms. We can cope with a certain amount, it’s just when we reach our limit, the disease process is triggered. I made a video about the concept that makes it easy to visualise.
