Interesting story. I used fasting and autophagy in 2020 after an adverse event to surgical products. I wasn’t overweight, I was severely underweight and kept losing weight. I had a list of over 20 debilitating symptoms including symptoms of dementia and metal intoxication. I fasted for 3 days every week in 2020, and what it did for me was that it made all my symptoms disappear and my weight would stop plummeting. I’m still only 50kg but at least I’ve stopped the uncontrollable weight loss. I don’t fast anymore as I found that avoiding vegetables and eating lots of ruminant meat and fat arrested the weight loss in its tracks. Fasting for 3 days would give me 4 days of feeling great with no symptoms.
It is very hard to avoid nickel. Almost twice as many women develop a hypersensitivity to nickel than men as they are exposed to more of it. They have more surgeries where surgical clips are left in them which contain nickel. Even titanium alloy implants are contaminated with nickel. Jewellery is also a factor in becoming hypersensitive to nickel. Even walking past a nickel mine everyday will also cause nickel hypersensitivity and can cause things like coeliacs.
It is very hard to avoid as plants uptake nickel from the soil. Animals that eat grass also uptake it into their bodies. Nickel is also not the only metal that will cause metabolic dysfunction. Titanium does too, and most surgical clips are made of nitinol, which is a 50/50 mix of nickel and titanium. We can even become hypersensitive to nickel from the domes on our jeans.
You can never really avoid all nickel, the trick is to avoid as much as you can. Most can tolerate a small amount, but once they exceed their tolerance, all hell breaks loose.
Many download nickel free apps for their phone. These apps list the amount of nickel in different foods and allows people to choose foods as low in nickel as possible. Disease is environmental. Antigens are the cause of disease and early aging. In its most simplest explanation, an antigen is something that makes the immune system react. Antigenic metals also act more like haptens which means the immune system creates antibodies to the metals so as soon as they recognise them in the body, the immune system starts attacking the metals. This takes immune resources and leaves us with less immune resources to stay healthy. An interesting thing about diabetes is that some drs are now curing diabetes with beef fat. Slowly lowering their diabetes medication while increasing beef fat. Even the metals in an iud can cause metabolic dysfunction, and so can modern dental work depending on if your genetic variance makes you an inefficient detoxer or not.
Because of it being so ubiquitous, avoiding nickel completely is not really a possibility but all jewellery should be avoided and all clothes that have metal components. I would suggest you download a nickel free app and check it out.
Be sure to avoid titanium and titanium dioxide as well. Titanium dioxide is a food additive and has recently been reclassified as unfit for human consumption and banned in foods in Europe. Titanium dioxide is also in most personal care products including soap and toothpaste, and also in most modern dental work.
I avoid eating vegetables altogether in order to avoid nickel. I have no choice. I just eat beef, lamb and their fats. I have to also add extra fat to my diet as the amount in meat is not enough to get rid of wrinkles. Beef fat also reversed my connective tissue disorder after a year of eating it.
So while nickel is impossible to avoid completely, a nickel free app is your best bet. And remember, even car keys and coins have nickel in them and can also contribute to your nickel load
That is so interesting that fasting helped you stop losing weight. My guess would be that part of why it worked is that it allowed your digestive tract a chance to heal and then when you ate, you absorbed more.

I recommend a zeolite product such as CytoDetox or ZeoCharge to clients with signs of heavy metal toxicity. When one client used it recently, her cured her blood sugar problems after only one month. Her fasting glucose was consistently 97 or higher and after a month of CytoDetox, her fasting glucose went down in the 70s. She is very thin so we couldn't figure out a reason for her high blood glucose numbers.
I am also a very big fan of beef fat and animal products! Saturated fat is one of the most healing substances. Your story reminds me a lot of carnivores I follow such as Jordan Peterson and Mikhaila Peterson. However, it never occurred to me that nickel sensitivity was the reason why they both feel better without plants. Jordan Peterson had terrible depression that was healed by cutting out all plants. The human body is so interesting!
Plants are very antigenic because of the nickel and other metals in them, and because plant nutrients are slightly toxic to humans. If you become hypersensitive they become more toxic, so fasting lowered my daily antigen load which was enough to stop all symptoms until they built up in my system again. I have a little experience with zeolites but they made my anaphylaxis worse. I have to avoid detox. The only safe detox product for me to take is silica water. Mikayla Peterson has an orthopaedic implant. I’ve told her to get tested for metal hypersensitivity but she seems determined to avoid doing that. If she just removed it, her metal hypersensitivity would stop and she would be able to eat vegetables again. I suspect she doesn’t want any medical tests that mean she has to tell her followers she was wrong. Her Lion diet group is full of people with orthopaedic implants which is unsurprising.
Mental illness is just the allopathic term for the symptoms of a neurotoxic reaction and as metal hypersensitivity runs in families, I suspect he is also exposed to metals he’s allergic to. Could be just one glass ionomer filling causing it, or the neurotoxic metals in a vaccine. Upgrading to metal free ceramics would likely sort out his neurotoxicity
